Manolo Blahnik in Prague

At the weekend we finally found the time to visit an exhibition of shoemaker, Manolo Blahnik (Manolo Blahnik - The Art of Shoes at Museu Kampa). Unfortunately, sometimes it happens that if you're looking forward to something, then it's not the way you think ...

Everything was wrong there. Entrance 280 Kč / pers. Oukeeey, when it's the Manolo ...

In front of cashier are two lyrics about Manolo's life, unfortunately there is no room to stop and read it, because the crowds that flow in and out. All these text are whole information you can get from this exhibition. The videos which is projected on plasma is just something audiovisual, because you do not get any information from them. In addition, they are monolingual, in English. The sound is completely muted, the headlines do not cover all the spoken word.

We really do want to know, how much time the curator gave to the preparation of a mass-media exhibition.

There is several shoes, which has a very short and niche label (shoe name, year of production and what they are). We would be wondering who (which celebrity) was wearing it, what the artist inspired to create specific shoes.

When we were wondering at loud, what is that label for, a lady from the crowd explained to us, you can find everything on internet

"Ouch, we did not have to spend nearly six hundred crowns and we could read everything for free from the sofa of our home," we laughed.

Damage! And that would be a nice show if it was not only the golden coins.
